What is crisis management?

Crisis management deals with the systematic handling of crisis and emergency situations, which should be planned and prepared in advance with the help of business processes and measures (see risk prevention). 

A wide variety of early warning systems have an impact on crisis management, making it possible to identify them at an early stage and activate crisis management promptly. 

What is part of crisis management?

As opposed to events under uncertainty (=emergency management), we aim to make the occurrence of a risk as calculable as possible in the long term. At the same time, misjudgments and decisions in strategic crisis management are to be prevented in order to avoid emergency situations.
